This is a very loud doorbell, in fact, the loudest, made by Craftmade- 80 decibels. This two-note wired doorbell is great for larger homes. Available in a white (CL-W) and a "designer" white finish (CL-DW) these wired doorbells feature an ABS plastic cabinet cover, and plays a two-note chime sound for the front door, a single note chime for the back door.
The designer white model, the CL-DW, is more of an off-white color, while the white model, the CL-W is a brighter white. Mechanically, both models are exactly the same. The units require a 16V wired doorbell transformer, both play a 2-note tune for 1 door.

I chose this doorbell because of its vintage style. It has not been installed as our house is still under construction. However, I know I will not be disappointed as it will be the perfect accessory to our front entrance.
Our doorbell chime is located in a back hallway far away from the front entry and was always difficult to hear. This doorbell takes care of the problem as it's very loud compared to the older one it replaced. Easy to install - glad I bought it.
I Love My New Door Chime, it was extremely easy to install and I haven't missed a "ding" since.
Loud and pleasant tone. Easy to wire. I replaced one that I could hardly hear it this one. I have a big house and needed it.

It is louder than the old one
Received doorbell in 3 business days. Took the old one down and installed new door bell and it worked great. Customer service was great to work with. I explained the situation and she gave me a recommendation that really worked.
I didn't have much hope when I ordered this Doorbell. I tried others and they all were barely noticeable but to my surprise this thing actually lived up to it's promise. The Metal dongs where the plungers hit are a lot larger than the usual doorbells. The installation was straight forward and Super Easy. Even a Caveman like myself could do it. Then came the test and sure enough I could hear a big difference and a nice loud traditional DING DONG. Now I don't know if it is really 80 decibels but it is definitely louder and can be heard in the farthest room downstairs and in the Bonus Room upstairs. So after trying several traditional chimes only to return them, I finally found one that I will keep.

Loud voice is always heard and so a loud Bell, great design and it looks like it is made for years to come and it was compatible with my google nest doorbell camera. Thank you.
